It is my suspicion that Youtube has recently begun a practice of limiting the time allowed to a user to view any single video. Beginning about two weeks ago, I have been unable to view more than about 1:30 of any video that is any longer than around 2:00 or so in length. This has never been the case in the past. I have tried different browsers and even different computers all with the same result.

This occurs only when using a dial-up connection. It does not occur with a high speed connection which is why I am thinking that Youtube has put into place some form of time limitation policy in order to limit the number of users on-line at any given time and/or to preserve bandwidth.

In reference to dial-up users, their site merely states that dial-up users will have to wait longer to see the entire video than do users with high speed connections.

Has anyone else here with dial-up had the same recent experience? Can anyone else here possibly try this themselves if they have dial-up to verify this situation I am experiencing?

I tried posting a question to Youtube about this but they only accept questions or comments from registered users, which I am not, and they also only allow for about three normal length sentences for any comment or question which is a ridiculous restriction when trying to post a succinct question or comment unless one wishes only to hurl invectives.
