Note they still gave it 7 out of 10. On Thu, May 13, 2010 at 12:12 PM, t.piwowar wrote: > http://www.wired.com/reviews/product/pr_office_2010 > > "More bloated than the Goodyear blimp. Re: [CGUYS] Image resolution for video
If they are going to be zooming in tight on the scan, then that would be a good reason for the higher resolution. Richard P. I do video editing in NTSC in Final Cut, & find 600dpi/ppi overkill. I think they have their measurements mixed up. First of all dpi or ppi is a printer's measurement system. It is meaningless for video. Standard HD resolution is 1920×1080 px. Note that the units are pixels, not pixels per inch. * ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *
[CGUYS] Image resolution for video
We have a patron in Britain who wants some scans for a documentary they're putting together. They're asking for 1200dpi (or ppi, as people are now using). I know they have the PAL system over there, but does it really require that high a resolution? I do video editing in NTSC in Final Cut, & find 600dpi/ppi overkill. david David Turk Manager, Preservation Imaging Services Indiana Historical Society Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center 450 W.
