If your point is that currently there is a bigger price disparity than
there was a year ago, that is probably true. However, Apple has warned
investors and financial analysts to expect profit margins to drop soon.
There is speculation that this will be due to some price drops coming on
computer systems. Apple tends to release system bumps or changes at the
end of the year, often actually in January at Macworld Expo. I'm ready
to get my Intel Mac; my 8 year old and 4 year old G4 systems are
creaking for the work I do now. If I find a good deal, I may buy now,
but I'm tempted to wait at least until Macworld and see if anything changes.

Plus, with the economy the way it is now, maybe I should hold off on any
bigger purchases. :)
