There are very strong hints that a new iPhone will be released before
the end of the year that will be Verizon compatible. Some reports are
saying this will be in addition to ATT as a provider veruss a
replacement. Some of this speculation comes from this WSJ article:

I was also struck by the lack of actual sources. It's always people
briefed by the company or variations there of.
