Run a file search for "bookmarks.html". There may be more than one copy on your machine. If so, look at the file size for all of them and pick the largest one (or all that are more than a few KB). On your new machine, back that file up regularly. You can open that file as a regular html file

If you were asking this question 5 years ago it might make some sense. But FF3 stores it's bookmarks right where they belong, and it's got a great built in organizer. I suspect that, instead of learning how to use the new organizer, you're trying your best to operate the same way you did years ago
