As soon as Apple sees how iPhone and iPad users want to use something other than their fingers, they will come up with a stylus. The iPhone/Touch/iPad are designed for fingers [or meat]. There are many reasons why I don't want to have an iPhone, but for people to insist that it needs to have a stylus are asking for them to change a successful design for an arbitrary reason. Do you have a iPhone or Touch? If not, lack of a stylus isn't important. There are plenty of other smart devices that you can use with a stylus, just not an Apple device. Those who were frustrated that there's no Mac netbook have hacked netbooks that run OS X [Hackintosh]. Those who have Macs and need to run Windows have emulators for that. This looks like an opportunity, not a defect. Search for iPhone stylus and you'll find dozens of choices, just not one from Apple.
