You can get a discount on a domain through GoDaddy any number of sites. Watch the geekbrief podcast they have three different discounts. http://geekbriefwp.podshow.com/sponsorship-information I'm sure if you look around you might find a better one but there are plenty of discounts out there. Oh, I don't know; probably just seemed more difficult to construct a website (more so than the only other site I've created, which was on a network and probably more user friendly in some ways). Also, don't see a way to blog or to host the forums they mention. Thought these might be like message boards, like I was able to set up on this other one, which can't be used for some of the purposes I want as it has a specific purpose. If I had a kid, I would have left them fool with all of this while I got some winks. Or so I would like to believe. Not that I know of. It was $15 a year which is pretty standard. Rates went up this year. (We reupped before the increase.) Part of the benefit of registering with them is you get web space. Plus, this includes getting one domain name for $2 instead of the usual $7or so. Plus think its supposed to include blogging capability. BTW, are you or any of your colleagues that you know of getting into things like internet radio or podcasting? Reminded of this because GoDaddy offers some of this as well.
