I've never been fond of motorola's blur interface...unless I could drop
Android back to the original home screens I think I'd clear from Moto
Android phones. That is another good thing about Android, I've got four
very different interface skins I can run on top of Android at the moment.

While we are on the subject, perhaps someone can explain to me the
nexus between the concept of freedom and cell phones?
Maybe freedom to not be on roaming charges every other day? Freedom to be
anywhere in the city and get 3g as opposed to not. Freedom to get any
information anywhere you are. Remember when you first had to find a
payphone and stop and hope you had a dime to use it? Then you had the
freedom of

Those who choose to be enslaved are I suppose. Those drivers with the
ladders? They are probably happy to have that phone to make appointments
and put food on the table for their kids and keep a roof.
In smaller context which is where I thought you started, I consider it

Palms OS has evolved so far from that it is ridiculous.
I have had a Treo 600, 700W, Samsung 7?? and a Motorola Q9.
Treos were nice, but clunky.
Samsung was a slider, awkward.
Motorola was a great phone, only handicap was Windows Mobile 6.
The Androids look nice but I am still waiting for
Holding something the size of a poptart to your face to talk is one
thing...holding something the size of a pan of lasagna is another.
Palm is also on the brink, as noted in that email I sent a few days
ago...Palm is even brinkier even.

I have seriously looked at Palms new phones. Just not sure what I
want to do right now.

I have a friend who got a palm when they came out...he's had 3 due to faulty

Well I am on Verizon so they have been out for a little while.
Plus these are beefed up versions with a lot more memory than the
Spint cousins. (8 GB)

The OS is pretty nice, although my friend has lost his contacts several
times because of Palm outages...but other than that pretty robust. I've
thought since they were released that the pixi and pre were both horridly
designed phones, sharp edges on the pre and the small screen on the pixi,

I will not buy a touch screen only phone. I want a physical keyboard.
Not because I like keyboards that much but when you start having
problems with the screen it is nice to have a physical backup.

A good plan, consider how usable or unusable the palm will be if the phone
does have a screen problem. I think most of the interaction is tied to the
screen so you may not be able to do much without the screen on that one
either.

My iMac 27 is a heck of a lot larger than an iPad yet we find it is
terrific for phone calls.
No, I do not walk
Well of course not, there is no proximity sensor! I do wonder how you see
where you are going or go grocery shopping when you are out talking on the
thing though...

No, I do not walk around with it pressed to my ear. We do not have to
continue to use telephones
