Re: [CGUYS] wireless broadband

If she is going to use a laptop then check this out:

http://www.virginmobileusa.com/mobile-broadband

It is pay as you go. Or as you consume it. No contract. Pay only for what
and when.

I have read that this is utilizing the Sprint network though it is sold as
Virgin mobile.

For any who might be interested I became aware of this from this page:

Reverse it.

5 GB of usage, downloads and data usage.

Any transfer to your computer (Even reading the cloud stuff) is
considered a download.

300 MB uploads.

Any time you interact with the web you have downloads and uploads.

[CGUYS] wireless broadband

2010-03-20 Thread Stephen Brownfield
My wife was looking at possibly getting wireless broadband from Sprint
(her cell phone provider) for a trip this summer. She started to ask me
about what was meant by 5GB of usage a month. I went to the web site
and it stated "5GB/300MB off-network roaming per month" I assume that
this means 5GB of upload and 300MB of download per month. If I am
correct this should be fine for her. She is basically doing email (in
the cloud) and surfing the web. She doesn't upload or download a lot of
files. Am I correct? What should she be looking at it?

TIA

Steve
