Re: [CGUYS] Report: Sky Not Falling
I'm starting to think Steve Jobs needs to start calling himself Steve Jones. For a second there, my mind inserted Tom's name instead of Steve's. Tom as a Sex Pistol? Heh. Tommy Rotten? Unfortunate, yes, but not-as was reported in the immediate aftermath of the presentation-evidence that Vista's security is useless, nor does this work constitute a major security issue. And it's not game over, either. Sensationalism sells, and there's no news like bad news, but sometimes-particularly when covering security issues-it would be nice to see accuracy and level-headedness instead. This is not a technical article. It is an op ed by a WFB trying to spin the issue in MS's favor. It is not worth the time to read. A waste. I imagine Avie himself could have written this article and it wouldn't matter to the apple elite corps. Peter is obviously not a true believer. I'm starting to think Steve Jobs needs to start calling himself Steve Jones. More in line with the faithful. It's pretty apparent that you have no idea who Bright is. * ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *
