Thank you for checking, Cor! Where's the easiest place in the venue to
refill our bottles? (I thought the insulated water jug on the table
contained ice water at first, but quickly realized that it was in fact hot
water for tea!)

Cheers,

I know a couple of leaders active in the PyLadies community here in
the States who could be good resources, if you'd like an introduction.
A stronger relationship w/the Python community is always a solid bet
for us, so this could be a great situation to kill two birds with one
stone. Oh -- and if you like alliteration, you might consider the name
'LibreLadies'.

Re: [libreoffice-conference] Thanks for a great conference

2014-09-09 Thread Robinson Tryon
In addition to the amazing conference proper, let me add my hearty
thanks to Andreas Bürki for leading a group of us around Bern on
Saturday and showing us fountains, bears, towering steeples, and much
more!

Sincerely,

Re: [libreoffice-conference] Free WiFi in Milan - does it work?

2013-09-23 Thread Robinson Tryon
I picked up an Italian sim card for my unlocked phone. Its hackish, but for
€10 it works (I'm not sure if tethering is allowed -- the people at the
store were very friendly but it was hard for us to communicate about the
precise technical details :-). I'd be happy to share my experience, but
Italo and Riccardo might have better instructions.

Speaking of WiFi, is there a place at the venue where I could sit and get
some libreoffice work done before the community meetings tomorrow? Or
perhaps a public library nearby with free wifi?

Thanks,
-R
