Joining a team of talented conservation and restoration specialists, you'll 
care for and restore picture frames to the highest standard.

Based at our on-site workshop, you'll carry out conservation treatments, 
employing a range of techniques. You'll carefully balance multiple projects, 
ensuring that the collection can continue to be appreciated by future 
generations.

Everyday your expertise will be relied upon. You'll evaluate the condition of 
picture frames and make recommendations for treatments. You'll also oversee the 
work of external contractors, providing advice and guidance to ensure 
exceptional standards of collections care and conservation at all times.

You'll also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of specialist tools, 
and equipment, ensuring H&S requirements are consistently met.

You'll aim for perfection in all that you do. And knowing that you're helping 
to preserve a collection that will be enjoyed by millions will inspire you 
every day.
 
About you
With a relevant degree in conservation, and significant experience in the 
conservation and restoration of giltwood, you're the expert we're looking for.

As a specialist in the treatment of picture frames, you have experience with 
traditional gilding materials and techniques, and you're able to evaluate items 
and propose conservation treatments that are practical and in line with time 
and budgetary requirements.

In addition, your organisation and time management skills will be vital in 
order to prioritise multiple, and often conflicting deadlines.  

You're an excellent communicator, and will enjoy working alongside and engaging 
with people at all levels, both internal and external, including specialists in 
their own field.

Perceptive with great problem solving skills, we can rely on you to take 
initiative, assess situations, and make decisions when needed. 

A good command of relevant IT programmes will be important too.

that you do.
