Good Morning,

As part of my MA Conservation of Historic Objects qualification, I am looking 
into the ways public engagement related to the conservation and restoration of 
ceramics has been approached. My dissertation aims to look at how the 
physicality of a real ceramic object can be utilised, so that members of the 
public can learn more about conservation and restoration procedures in a 
directly ‘hands on’ manner. I am interested to discover what initiatives or 
approaches have been adopted before to engage public audiences with this 
material specialism, as I am looking to develop and improve upon how this could 
be achieved in the future.


If you are a museum or organisation that has a collection of ceramic objects, I 
would really value your opinion. The survey consists of 10 questions and should
