I added the file, and also added a post script in rpm to restore permission on
tmp if asterisk is /tmp owner.

That won;t help. The next time amportal.conf is regenerated the permissions are
back to asterisk:asterisk.

HF, nothing has been fixed, nothing has even been confirmed !

you reported something you and only you observed and reported a workaround (
not a fix) to your observation without enough information to reproduce what you
observed.


the risk by modifying to fix something I can not reproduce, is to break
something else.

again what did you configure as plugins or can you tell more about the systems
where it happens.

I have seen this as an example : http://issues.freepbx.org/browse/FREEPBX-4429

also the command amportal chown might be related.

I did not find anything in the source code of freepbx explicitly doing a chown
on /tmp, so it must be related to a customization, like pointing the backup or
something else to /tmp

if such a thing happens then this should be reported upstream not workaround
there.

This does not allow for other apps to use /tmp anymore, leading to non
functional apps and Mysql InnoDB for they need /tmp to write temp files.

Changing the ownership of /tmp manually to e.g. www:www all runs fine. But
every post-upgrade, the ownership get's changed. Backup to desktop does not
work either due to the enforced asterisk permissions on /tmp.
