It's not a problem on the IMAP side because mozilla-mail is performing well.
I will look at reporting this to Ximian too, but it is much worse than the

First, let's state Evolution IMAP support has always and is still sub-optimal
(and this is acknowledged by evo authors).
So, it is not really a problem on Evolution sid

Evolution memory usage is only 76MB and I have 1GB in the machine. There is no

I suppose it is an evolution problem (and not a packaging problem).
You can always install the old evolution version by compiling from sources.

Slight typo regarding the size; I meant 150GB-350GB per mail folder. The total
mail content comes to about 650GB.
