This may have to do with the fact that I have a SCSI-only system. /etc/dynamic/scripts/part.script seems to have trouble and time out. I have not seen this on a different system that had only IDE drives.

https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1563 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-11 22:47 --- I wonder if this is what causes my long boot delays (at devfs message, about 2 minutes delay, 4 minutes total boot time) ever since 9.0 installation? I have this on two systems, one SCSI only, the other both IDE and SCSI. --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: My boot is delayed 1 minute at starting devfsd unless I change lines 3-4 in /etc/devfs/conf.d/dynamic.conf from EXECUTE to IGNORE.
