But I do not get a "Cannot launch kio_smb" error. Do you have the "samba-client" package installed? I don't know if it is practical to have a requires, since kio_smb is in kdebase, and samba-client (and samba-common which it requires) should not be required by kdebase (poeple would file a bug there too). Ideally kio_smb should be split off, and installed if "network client" and "KDE desktop" are both chosen. It's still valid. On some systems it just doesn't work, on others it gives this error. LAN Browsing is EXTREMELY important, especially with Lycoris, Lindows, and Xandros offering properly working LAN Browsing.
