Hi, I noticed that after adding a new user using userdrake, that this user
did not receive a "Removable Media" folder to access the cd/floppy with
(the first user did). Also, the KDE desktop did not receive an icon for the
SMB mount point I created using MCC like the GNOME desktop did.

Don't forget about bug 1703 when Removable Media folder creation is re-enabled.
In that bug the reporter suggested that the folder should NOT be recreated when
the folder is manually deleted.

Yes, it is. There is still no convenient way to access removable media in KDE (whereas
GNOME has handy icons on the desktop nowadays).

It would be nice if the user had some way of configuring this
(show/hide/rename, disable supermount etc.) in draktools. The current way
of fiddling with the removable media icon is by directly recoding the
script responsible for it.

Same observation here. Only desktop icons are trash, home and welcome. No removable
media icon on desktop (unlike in mdk-9.1rc1).

Yes I have observed that, but I am not sure it is a bug or a mandarke
decission.

There still aren't any removable media icons for the default user created during the
install. :-\
That means there is no convenient (iconic) way of getting to devices any longer. I've
moved
this up to critical from major as I believe this could leave a LOT of users
bewildered.
