I don't hve the clock showing on the panel. But if I go to configure panel and turn on 
for 
example transparency it crashed with a signal 11. But kicker did come back in this 
case 
as transparent and the clock is shown. 
 
Trying to configure the clock though does crash kicker, just tried it.

I can confirm this. And if you then start kicker from console and try to
Configure the clock the kicker crashes.
