How do you find the burners on flat top
I use the heat. I put the pot/pan on the burner, then turn it on. If there's
heat coming from one edge of the pot, I move it until the heat stops. By doing
this, I can easily center the pot, or determine (for a new stove or pot/pan) if
the burner is too large or small for the current use. I

I have been using a flat-top stove for many years. In fact, I'm using
my second flat-top stove. I love it! You can pretty much feel where
the burner is by raising your hand above the burner and with practice,
and it's infinitely easier to clean and maintain!

I heartily second Penny’s opinion about flattopatoves. Very soon with your
quick fingers, you can tell if the pot needs to be slightly moved to
accommodate the burner. And they are certainly a breeze to clean!

Susie, What brand and model did you choose? I need a new stove, and I like

The best way I've found is to feel for the heat. I'm able to center pots and
pans easily enough, though finding the burner under a pan or griddle that more
than covers the burner is harder.

I love, love, love my flat-top stove. No longer does something cook
over and drip into the burner, creating a smokey, smelly mess,
invariably immediately before guests arrive for dinner! It's easy to
clean, easy to use! I just hold my hand about 10 inches above where I
think the burner is located
Alright Alice, thank you for your help. That makes sense.

Hi, Dannielle,
There have been many posts in the past about flat top stoves, but, I'll share
my experience briefly here. I have a flat top; the burners are slightly
textured, the surrounding area is smoother, the opposite of what some one else
just said. It depends on the brand of the stove.

any techniques that make it easier to navigate the burners? Thanks
