North Country Granola 6 cups regular oatmeal
1 cup milled bran, flaked (not bran flakes cereal) 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 1/2 cups chopped almonds 3/4 cup vegetable oil 3/4 cup honey 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon maple flavoring In 10 by 15 by 2 inch flat pan, combine dry ingredients. Place honey, oil and flavorings in a bowl; whisk until well mixed. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and stir to distribute evenly. Place in a 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Allow to cool. Serve cold with milk, bananas and/or raisins. Or, for a real wintry treat, heat individual servings with milk in microwave until steaming. Makes about 16 (1/2 cup) servings.
