How to Cut Bars and Candy Perfectly
Book: Cook'n with Pillsbury
Chapter: Cookies & Candies

Lining a pan with foil makes it easier to cut bars into even portions.
Before putting the dough in the baking pan, turn the pan upside down. Cut a
piece of foil 4 inches longer than the baking pan and form the foil over the
outside bottom of the pan. Set the foil aside.
Turn the pan right side up. Dampen the bottom of the inside of the pan to
hold the foil in place.
Position the preformed foil inside the pan. Grease the foil if recommended
in the recipe, add the batter and bake as directed.
Cool and refrigerate the baked bars for about 30 minutes. Lift the bars
from the pan. Remove the foil, place the brownies on a flat surface and cut
the bars into serving pieces with a sharp knife.
