Eddie Snell quickly helped: cootrc file found in X:\YourWinCootDirectory\share\coot where X is the drive. Buried in the wincoot-faq. I also found (from the BB) that I could simply create a file X:\YourWinCootDirectory\.coot-preferences\coot.py and stick that line in there.

Hello - when I drag a bunch of files onto my wincoot, I end up with a long slew of dialogues, asking me if I wan to fix nomenclature errors. I've just realised I find it irritating, because I just want to look, not build. How do I turn it off by default? (I realise it's a difficult one -
