You are not alone. I have heard from others that there is a problem when
starting refinement.

My guess is that there is a problem with atom labels - so the work
around is not to click on an atom with a label when you are specifying a
region for RSR (not that one does that much these days (which is
possibly why I haven't seen it myself)).

Re: [COOT] Coot 0.9.6 unstable?

2021-12-16 Thread Andrea Smith

Hi,
I reported coot crashing to ccp4 because I thought it was Cloud.

For me the crashing happens when I refine, do not click on accept (so the table
stays open) and I click on add or remove residue. After clicking on an atom in
the structure, the Coot srashes. Happened multiple times both on Linux and
Windows, through Cloud but also from terminal.

Best,
Andrea

[COOT] Coot 0.9.6 unstable?

2021-12-16 Thread Jan Gebauer

Hi everyone,

I currently giving a course for students in XTAL crystallography and
bravely installed the newest version of Phenix for it.
It is bundled with the 0.9.6 version of COOT, which now in multiple
instances crashed for my students. I never had any problems with Coot's
stability before. Is it just me, or is it a common problem for this
version?

Currently, I have not identified a reproducible way to crash it - so no
crash reports yet...

Best
