Thanks for the answer.
In fact I already tried this, but didn't work.
What I am afraid is the possibility of having bricked the system by using
the postcode at the wireless card slot.
Any idea if this could have happened?

I have a X230, but this has never happened to me before. Sorry :-( .
Have you tried unplugging, waiting 10 seconds and plugging the CMOS
battery cable and trying to boot afterwards?
Also disconnect the laptop battery during this procedure.
