*Please send your resume to divy...@idctechnologies.com <su...@idctechnologies.com>* *Location: Pleasanton, CA,* *Job Description:* The scope of duties for the Security Testing Engineer include, but is not limited to, the following: - Provide expertise in all technical aspects of security testing and understand the manual testing scope - Perform functional and non-functional QA testing - Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies based on project needs and industry trends - Write and document test scripts - Provide test estimates for proposed projects - Constantly look for opportunities to improve testing processes - Establish and document testing standards, scenarios, cases and data - Encourage innovation of process and creative testing methodologies - Work closely with management to determine feasibility of product features - Work with the QA testing and information security teams to ensure the effectiveness of application security controls. - Filing defects accurately with detailed information that aids in defect resolution - Responsible for assuring that output from the software development process includes adequate identification and interpretation of product requirements, such as a) traceability requirements, b) test requirements, c) usability requirements, etc. - Promote high quality, scalability and timely completion of testing timelines - Provide management with status of testing activities - Mentor and provide knowledge transfer to QA team members *Desired Demonstrable Skills* - Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional a big plus. - Extensive application security testing experience and knowledge of QA methodology and automation tools. - Experience with scripting languages (e.g. python, PERL) and SQL. - Knowledge of QA methodology, automation and tools - Working knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies, including concepts and guidelines behind traditional application security system design. - Testing experience in an enterprise-class system with multi-tier architecture - Track record of good management, prioritizing projects and estimating work - Excellent communication,presentation and interpersonal skills - Extensive knowledge of and proven experience with data processing systems and methods of developing, testing and moving solutions to implementation - Strong knowledge in project management practices and ability to document processes and procedures as needed - Convey and explain complex problems and solutions in an understandable language to both technical and non-technical persons - Present technical solutions to management and decision makers - Think creatively and critically, analyzing complex problems, weighing multiple solutions, and carefully selecting solutions appropriate to the business needs, project scope and available resources - Take responsibility for the integrity of the solution *Mentoring & Skill Enhancement* Mentoring and Skills Enhancement of company employees by Consultant resources are considered an integral part of this engagement. The Consultant will work in a collaborative fashion with IT management to create and provide a specific training to designated employees in those areas of systems in which the consultant has knowledge and expertise. Consultant will make every effort to provide skills enhancement at a satisfactory rate and report any issues that may impede the progress of training and mentoring. The Consultant resources shall provide input to IT management to develop a training and mentoring plan to include specific skill sets, tasks, and training methodologies.The Consultant Resources will be responsible to execute the training and mentoring plan(s) with designated State Fund employees and shall provide input to refine and further develop training and mentoring plans as training progresses. At the company's request, the "Mentoring & Skill Enhancement Tracker” will be completed by Consultant and provided to management on a monthly basis to document and record completed training and mentoring.
