*Must Have:*
- Project Manager with Data warehouse experience . Some Business
intelligence experience
- The Sr Project Mgr-Tech is responsible for end-to-end ownership of one
or more technology projects or releases. The Sr Project Mgr will plan and
effectively manage all aspects of assigned projects/programs/releases,
including cost, schedule, scope, quality and project resources following
the appropriate methodologies. Opportunity includes multiple requirements
from:
- Managing Projects/work streams involving data warehouse (ETL)
dependencies and integration, enabling Business Intelligence and
reporting
capabilities
- Managing migration project of existing Applications to new Software
packages
- Managing projects to enable new business functionalities within
cloud (AWS/others) Job Responsibilities
- Project management, scheduling, communication and control for
multiple projects Finance portfolio
- Lead a cross functional team to contribute, align and complete
project deliverables according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) &
Ameriprise Quality Management System (AQMS)
- Knowledge on greenfield system implementation and cloud and AWS
implementation knowledge.
- Manage the critical path, where time is paramount and resources are
limited
- Schedule work, verify work products, conduct meetings with multiple
stakeholders and track status
- Document risks, mitigation plans and manage change control process
across the team
- Communicate project status weekly, ensure end goals are being
addressed and solution developed align to overall program agenda
- Clear road blocks, solve problems of competing priorities
- Track and Support team members for estimation and work planning
process so they commit to realistic deadlines
- Communicate complicated ideas and technical details in clear
business terms that align to technical solutions. Resolve ambiguity with
“right sized” communication Required Qualification
- Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field; or
equivalent work experience
- 8+ Yrs of experience managing medium to large projects working with
teams within diverse location - including Onshore/offshore model
(US/India)
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change
management/estimation/Budgeting process
- Proficiency in project management software tools (Excel and MS
Project based)
- Experience in Waterfall and Agile methodology of project execution
- Excellent oral and written communication with conflict resolution
skillsPreferred Qualification
- PMP or any other Project Management Certification
- Experience with Managing projects within a Financial Organization
