*Description –*
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for analysis
and profiling data required for various data integration and Enterprise
Data Lake Projects. They will be creating technical specifications for
data integration, migration, data management, governance and other data
related projects. They will work closely with BA’s, Development teams, DQ
team, data & analytics teams, and external data vendors. Position is in
Midtown New York. Primary responsibilities include:
• Communicate with BA’s as well as development and DQ teams as
needed to understand data integration efforts, data anomalies, integration
requirements, data mappings and transformations required between systems
• Create and Maintain data specifications and mappings for data
integration efforts.
• Profile, assist with data validations and reconciliation
initiatives
• Understand data validation and reconciliation processes and
have the ability to assist with troubleshooting and resolving data
differences and errors
• Perform analysis of data sources using SQL and data profiling
tools
• Work with workstream leads to understand data management and
governance rules and policies which will need to be implemented. Examples
would include rules for master data management, policies and workflows for
data governance.
*Requirements:*
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Strong SQL skills, including ability to write queries and
read stored procedures
• Solid understanding of data systems, including data
relationships and data modeling with the ability to learn and understand
various systems and environments
• Solid understanding and experience with data management and
governance such as master data management, data governance, meta data
management
• Strong data analysis skills, excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills
• Proficiency and exposure to Mulesoft, Streamsets,
Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL/ELT tools as plus
• Financial Services industry experience a plus
