Hello to all, I was hoping someone may be bale to help me.
My 4G grandfather is John Arthur from County Tyrone, Parish of Cappagh. Here is everything we think we know: He was born about 1790. He came to the United States about 1811, and we have several possible ships logs that could be him from the same general time period. We also have two separate US Naturalization papers that could be him. The most detailed confirms the information about about his age, and where he came from. We also have several published history books that tells the same story about his age and where he came from. In America, he married Rebecca Parker, and died April 1, 1830 in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. I have a lot more information about his offspring there after, but this is all i know about his origin. If anyone can help me with the family name Arthur (or possibly McArthur or variations) in Cappagh, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Steve T.
