I have no idea where Don Quigley lives, but if he lives outside of Ontario,
Canada, I just want to let him know that I grew up in the Penetanguishine (now
referred to as Penetang) area.

My ancestors came from Omagh, although many of them left via Londonderry in
1823, sailing to North America. William and Sara Adams left Omagh with their
6 children. Sadly, both parents died en route and were buried at sea, leaving
the family in the care of the eldest son
My forebears lived in Omagh, and left in 1824. They sailed out of
Londonderry. Perhaps your great uncle sailed out of “Derry” as well?

I am on the same journey as you, with my ADAMS ancestors being from OMAGH. I
just don’t know the parish area they were in - which is something I keep
hitting a brick wall for.We just returned from our trip to Ireland two
weeks ago, and visited Omagh and the surrounding areas,
VERY interesting indeed - I have put a copy into my ancestry file, thank you so
much for such detailed information.
We leave for Ireland TONIGHT for a two week adventure, and hope to make even
more discoveries. I will only have a very short period of time to visit
OMAGH, where my ancestors

I am seeking information about my ADAMS descendants. I know they lived in
