2017-08-07 Thread Len Swindley
Hello Philip,

Thank you for your enquiry; but my thoughts are that you are somewhat confused.
The online search facility to which you refer is the NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF
IRELAND, DUBLIN; this body has responsibility for counties with the Republic of
Ireland. Those six counties within Northern Ireland are served by the PUBLIC
RECORD OFFICE OF NORTHERN IRELAND (PRONI), BELFAST. The tithe applotment books
covering parishes within the six counties of Northern Ireland are not available
online, but may be viewed at LDS Family History Centres (only). In an attempt
to provide researchers with names recorded in the 42 Co. Tyrone parishes, I
have extracted all names and townlands from the TABs and indexed same; these
are available for searching on the County Tyrone Ireland (CTI) website.
http://www.cotyroneireland.com/tithe/titheindex.html
Sorry for the humble effort, but it was all I was able provide without
permission to use images.

Does anyone know why Co. Tyrone has not been added to the Tithe Applotment
Books on-line search facility at the National Archives Northern Ireland
website?

When you click on “Browse the Tithe Applotment Books”, Co. Tyrone does not
appear in the list of Counties.

Similarly, when I do a search in the Books for say Parish Lissan, Co. Tyrone,
it comes up “No Results”.

Thanks,

Philip Strong
