reject it.
That would work, but you would be opening up a hole through your firewall.
A malicious user that gained access to the server could setup a service on
that port and you wouldn't be the wiser.

. Decided to try it
anyway. It mostly seemed to work, at least when it came to generating
certs, but when I tried to connect the connect failed.
You might want to try installing OpenSSL from Fink, which will likely have
the header files you need.
