I use courier 0.36 and it's a bit of tweaking to get amavis work. I don't have it running complete as I want, but it's a start: I used amavis-0.2.1 and configured it to use procmail. Then I changed the deliver-variable to the maildrop, which comes with courier and the call to use the correct sender and recipient information. Then in the .courier I have | /usr/sbin/scanmails $SENDER $RECIPIENT if you want to have a look at my scanmails-script you can go to http://www.bnbt.de/~gp/scanmails But it's a quick and dirty hack, so don't use it ;> This way only incoming mail is scanned, I don't know how to do it for outgoing mail... Somewhere on the web was pointed out, that the sendmail-filter milter seems similar to the filter-mechanism courier has, but I didn't look further into this. Maybe someone has a solution, how to let the user get his virus-mails comfortably, in case he thinks it's a false-alarm or something? Are there example-configs for this somewhere?
