[courier-users] New releases of Courier packages

2010-10-04 Thread Sam Varshavchik

Download: http://www.courier-mta.org/download.php

New releases of courier, courier-imap, sqwebmail, and maildrop packages.
Changes since the last release of each corresponding package:

• courier: fax module: pass the -P option to ghostscript.

• courier: esmtp: bind local socket to SOURCE_ADDRESS_IPV6 for IPV6
destinations, using SOURCE_ADDRESS for IPv4 destinations only.

• all: fix "make check" when libidn is not installed.

• all: --with-certsdir configure option places a non-default path for SSL
certificate files in all the supporting scripts.

• courier, courier-imap: Specify SHA1 as the default cert signing algorithm
in the script that creates a default self-signed cert, for testing purposes.

• courier, courier-imap: Some performance micro-optimizations in the POP3
server.

• courier, courier-imap: Use alarm() to kill the imap process if FAMOpen()
takes longer than 15 seconds. Should prevent hung processes if FAM or Gamin
fubars itself.

• courier, sqwebmail, maildrop: Added an option to mailbot to suppress
original text in autoreplies. Added this option to webmail's mail filtering
screen.

• courier, maildrop, sqwebmail: sanity check on the MIME-formatted autoreply
template for mailbot: it must specify text/plain content type, and its
charset gets used as the charset of the formatted autoreply. Drop the
existing C-T-E header, and document the requirement that it cannot be a
quoted-printable formatted MIME autoreply. Fixed several problems in setting
MIME headers on autoreplied text.

[courier-users] Request for a new release?

2010-10-04 Thread Hanno Böck
Hi Sam,

Can you make a new release out of the latest courier snapshot?

(I'm personally mostly interested in the "make check" fix from 06-28, as this
is stopping gentoo stabilization - yes, I could backport or just use the snap,
but it'd be nicer to have a release ;-)

cu, Hanno
