[courier-users] self deleting emails arriving
hi, at first I thought I was mistaken but now clients are confirming that messages that are new are being automatically deleted. I will explain the setup: Getmail fetches in mail from ISPs and dumps into qmail Maildir format for many users. THis is fine for 99% of mail but now and again a new message appears and is already deleted. Clients are using MS outlook express 6 and MAC outlook - with two or more clients having the same IMAP account open simultaneously ( ie for the corporate 'info@' email account ). Has anyone experienced this before or have any clues as to whats happening ? thanks __ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! [courier-users] README.sharedfolders.html
Does anyone have a better explanation of the README.sharedfolders.html at: http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/README.sharedfolders.html as we went back and followed this to the letter and got some weird results... and as it stands this isnt at all workable for us. thanks __ Do You Yahoo!? [courier-users] IMAP client 'copy message'
Hi We have set up Courier-IMAP on a Qmail system with Maildir directories for WAN users. These users are looking for something to replace M$ Exchange/Outlook combination in regards to being able to move copy messages between shared folders. Finally we understood the README for creating shared folders but we are now disappointed that message copy seems to first copy to the client and then back to the server. Does anyone know if it is possible to use a client to do a message copy which will NOT copy the message ( with bandwidth hogging attachments ) first to the client and then back to Courier-IMAP ? Or are we doing something wrong ? thanks in advance AndyW __ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Re: [courier-users] Re: IMAP client 'copy message'
Hi Sam, thankyou, you are correct. Outlook has a 'automatically download message when viewing in the preview pane' check box. When un-checked the message can be moved or copied without it being downloaded to the client machine. --- Sam Varshavchik [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Stigg writes: Does anyone know if it is possible to use a client to do a message copy which will NOT copy the message ( with bandwidth hogging attachments ) first to the client and then back to Courier-IMAP ? There exists an IMAP COPY command that copies messages between folders on the server. Or are we doing something wrong ? You are probably using a stupid IMAP client that manually copies mail between folders, instead of issuing an IMAP COPY command. -- Sam ___ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users __ Do You Yahoo!?
