Just checked, and the RPMs that I build myself will install /usr/lib/courier-
imap with permissions rwxr-xr-x
the next process out. Adding world read/execute on the directories and
the executables in bin fixed it.

I'm using the howtoforge setup to do virtual mailboxes with MySQL. I can't pick
up my email with any protocol (imap, pop3, imaps, pop3s). I can pass authtest
fine, the logs show I authenticate but I can't get

Find the pid of the couriertcpd pid that's listening on the imap port, you
seem to be trying imap-ssl, so that will be port 993:
# /sbin/fuser -n
