An anonymous hero has made a facebook event for co-ordinated efforts at 5pm
today and then tomorrow morning. Possibly worth inviting all club members to
this to allow everything to be organised centrally?

Boating is restricted to University crews, first VIIIs, men's crews in the top
2 divisions of the May Bumps and women's crews in the top division of the May
Bumps as well as first fours and tub pairs. Members of crews permitted to boat

The Cambridgeshire County Council Highways division have given permission
for independent gritting of the towpath. Unfortunately the CUCBC committees
do not have the person power to get anywhere near to achieving this, but we

We have assessed both river and towpath conditions mid morning today, and
after careful discussion the CUs have decided that the combination of very
low temperature, high wind and windchill, and frozen towpath surface, mean
that racing cannot safely take place today, Thursday.
