Please be aware that the net is now at head height slightly to towpath side
of the middle of the river under the railway bridge. It's not terribly easy
to spot in the dark, and is still unclear now it's getting lighter.

Dear Coxes,
Firstly, congratulations on surviving bumps!
Secondly, some of you will now be looking ahead to WEHoRR and/or ManHoRR.
(everyone else, you can ignore this!)
This Wednesday at 6pm, CUCBC will be running a brief(ish) talk on coxing on
the Tideway. Rosemary Ostfeld has agreed to talk
Dear Coxes and Captains,
As a final piece of material ahead of WEHoRR/ManHoRR, the PLA (Port of
London Authority) have supplied this video, which covers the critical
points of the 120 page document mentioned yesterday, but in a 5 minute
youtube video.
Dear Captains and Coxes,
(Again, feel free to ignore if you're not going to WEHoRR/ManHoRR).
As a number of you have (very politely) pointed out, I'm a feckless
incompetent who failed to mention a 'where'.
The talk will take place tomorrow at 6pm in the Queens Building Lecture
Theatre in

briefings were held last year.
Hope that clarifies and apologies to the various people I've recieved
confused e-mails from over the last few days,

being restated now to make sure there are no doubts about coxes
accidentally rendering themselves ineligible for bumps.
Best wishes,

Dear coxes list,
CUCBC will be hosting a relatively informal event this Monday for any
college coxes looking to try and improve their coxing this term. We'll be
meeting at 7pm in the Divinity School Main Lecture Theatre.
Ideally, every cox would receive individual coaching, the same way most
Dear college coxes,
While I know most of you are obsessively focussed on Lents, and will remain
so for at least the next week, a number of you will be entering either
WEHoRR on the 11th of March or ManHORR on the 25th.
Ro Thompson has very kindly agreed to give a talk to any competing college
Dear coxes,
Apologies for anyone getting this twice. I can't find any sign the original
actually made it through...
The standard coxes briefings for Lents 2017 will be held this Sunday (the
26th) in the Old Divinity School Lecture Theatre (opposite the St Johns
College)

Dear coxes,
There were a number of near misses between college and town crews/singles
this morning.
In each case, crews had pulled out to overtake or gone wide round blind
turns, presumably on the assumption that since it was only just past
lighting down, there couldn't possibly be anything

long hair and a coxing jacket...
Best of luck in the last few days of racing.

Dear Captains and Coxes,
Many of you will have noticed that there are now a family of cygnets on the
river (their range seems centred on the gut, but they've been as far as
Baitsbite and the Long Reach).
This seems a good time to remind coxes and bank parties of the guidelines
agreed between the
Dear coxes,
I tried to send this out last night, but the e-mail has been held due to
the file attachment being large. Instead, I've placed the slides and the
