Hi,
as expected, CDT will be part of Oxygen at offset +1 with a 9.3 release.

I also would not like to have to change versions.
Changing the URL only allows me to change one line quickly.
Changing each version of each feature group is more work and more error prone.
And when speaking about tests, isn't it possible to verify that each URL is not
a composite repo?

The automatic remote Debug feature depends on RSE. It would be nice to use
o.e.remote instead but I don't have any experience with it and am not sure of
its status for Neon.

Hi Wayne,
Looking at the Simultaneous Release Requirements document [1]
I see we should add a link to the release record when announcing which I didn't
do.
The list of participating project [2] does show CDT but not its version/release
record so here it is:

We did declare CDT for Neon, referring to your now famous line :-)
"CDT will be in every simultaneous release from the first one until forever. "

Hi Lars,
Any recommendations on how to do this?
The way I used was tedious, but I got through it in an hour.
I searched for the string .gif in all the CDT repo, then went through the
results and looked for image path prefixes that
pointed to the platform. I actually found some images being open
The re-spin for CDT RC2 for Mars.1 is now available in its expected location.

a heads-up that CDT is re-spinning our RC2. It should be available in about 5

I'm not sure if Doug's email below is enough, so, to be safe, CDT will be part

Oh and to delete a release, you also got to "Edit" and at the bottom
there is a red Delete button.

Hi,
after you login, you go to your project page and select the release you want to
change.
The press the Edit button on the left of the black toolbar.
Then open the "The Basics" section and change the date in "Release Date".

There is a new option in Gerrit that is like "Cherry Pick" but a bit better
called "Rebase if necessary". It basically allows to avoid merges but also
keep track of patchset dependencies, unlike the "Cherry pick" option which
ignores any patchset dependencies and can sometimes cause problems
I think what people trip over, as I did, is that Gerrit is two independent
things:
1- a code review tool
2- a git portal that can be treated as a normal git remote. This one has
nothing to do with code reviews and provides the same abilities as direct git
(and more).

Here too: we've turned off GTK3 for eclipse on our Ubuntu desktops because it
wasn't stable enough.
Also we have servers running RHEL 6 (only has GTK 2) and people actually run
eclipse on them.
I appreciate the hard work the SWT team has put into GTK3 support. But it seems
to be too much of a
ob running until CDT get's "in".
Thanks for keeping us informed.

Hi,
I'm trying to re-spin the CDT RC4 build due to a major bug we just found. I've
requested the ok from the CDT community but I wanted to give a heads up here
right away since the aggregation build is very soon. I'm hoping to have the
new CDT build in an hour or two, as quickly as I can.

I'm testing installing CDT on RC3. CDT requires Java 7.
My system switched to java 6 under my feet, so I ended up installing CDT using

I'm updating the license files for CDT and I just want to confirm that the only
difference in Eclipse Foundation Software User Agreement is the date and the

I took that license file from: http://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl/notice.html
