Since there were no requests for extension, I declare the staging repository 
for Oxygen.1 RC2 complete.

It can be found here:

http://download.eclipse.org/staging/oxygen/ 


SimRel aggregation builds are disabled until Friday after the release.

Hi Andreas,

I think it's good worrying about it. Thanks for that ;)
I guess most of the build related issues are caused by
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=521305 or similar. I'll have
a look at how Platform did troubleshoot it and will try the same kind of
fix for EPP, hoping it would be enough to all of a sudden turn all builds
green ;)

But, there is also the human factor: many people do take holidays until the
end of August, so they aren't able to review RCs by the end of August. It
would be worth bringing this lack of reactivity issue to the Planning
Council in order to negotiate next year's .1 release to happen a couple of
weeks later for example.
Maybe it's already planned as it, and aligning with Java 9 release made the
difference here and we (EPP stakeholders) failed at anticipating the
potential issues with such date.

[cross-project-issues-dev] Potential problems with the EPP packages for Oxygen.1 RCs

Hi cross-projects-issues-dev, hi epp-dev,

I am afraid we *may* have a problem with the EPP packages for Oxygen.1.

Here's the symptoms I have observed:

- There have been no Oxygen.1 RC1 EPP packages produced by [1]. While
RC1 is supposed to be "a warm-up RC" without acceptance testing [2], I
still feel packages should have been build (if not +1'ed by the package
testers like myself).

- Questions as to the whereabouts of Oxygen.1 RC1 on epp-dev have been
left unanswered [3].

- The nightly EPP build for the OXYGEN branch [1] has been failing
constantly for more than 8 days now.

- There is a bug [4] I discovered yesterday that prevents Gerrit changes
meant for the OXYGEN branch (three so far [5]) to be verified by Hudson.
My request to review a fix has so far been left unanswered [6].

Apologies if I overreacted, but since we are already in the RC
timeframe, I think its worth to speak up early.

And maybe Markus Knauer (in Cc) is listening and can diffuse my worries. ;-)
