Hi everyone,

I'm building a site that is testing the limits of my knowledge as far as
table layout and div usage. You can see it at campusvoices.org.

The problem is - if you haven't already noticed - the main content portion
expands beyond the menu and header's width, and as a result, looks terrible.
It wasn't doing this a few days ago, when there was no content, but now that
content has been added (dynamically, it draws from a DB) everything has been
bumped some pixels out. I've double checked my calculations on the table
cells, and they should all be equal (850 for the center column). I've tried
modifying table width on the inside, and this has helped some, but the
problem still remains, even when I remove the content. I am not sure what is
going on, and I need to launch this site soon.

Perhaps the strangest part of the problem is that in FF, the right side
hangs over but not the left, yet in IE7, both sides pudge out a bit. I'm
totally at a loss after at least 45 minutes of tinkering and trying to
figure it out.

My questions are A: what's going on with this site and B: what's the best
way to layout a site like this? I thought that nesting some tables would be
appropriate, but apparently they like to define their own rules of behavior.
Is there a good article anyone could point me to on this subject?

Thanks, in advance.
