[css-d] gmail is ignoring display:none - what to do?

Hi All I've got the following code: caption style=display: none; This is the caption /caption And gmail is still displaying the caption. How do I prevent it from doing this? By the way, the reason why I am using inline styles is because of Hotmail etc... Cheers
