[css-d] how to represent a 2 column grid/table using CSS?

Hi all I have some content that I could easily represent using a table. If I were using a table, I'd create a two column table: with my image in the left column, and the accompanying text in the right column. Just four rows of information altogether. I tried representing this using floats in
