[css-d] page jumping in FF if not enough text

In Firefox/Win (several versions), I'm finding that although these two pages differ only in amount of text (and not at all in style or php), when I switch from one to another, the page jumps (to the left going from the first to the second, back to the right otherwise). I know that if I add or
