Re: [css-d] SiteCheckPlease
I took your advice Tom and Scott... http://www.westga.edu/~webgroup/design/code/ Does anybody see anymore issues? [css-d] SiteCheckPlease
I thought it would be a good idea to have some external people check the CSS to this redesign, so I looked at SiteCheckPlease page on the wiki... http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=SiteCheckPlease It wasn't quite clear, but I tried it anyway and got an: Error executing database query So anyway, I decided just to send an email asking for a site check... http://www.westga.edu/~webgroup/design/code/ ...and the 2nd level page design... http://www.westga.edu/~webgroup/design/code/about.html Thanks, Madison __ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7b2 testing hub -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/

Thanks Tom. You came to the right place(maybe). http://www.westga.edu/~webgroup/design/code/ ...and the 2nd level page design... http://www.westga.edu/~webgroup/design/code/about.html Madison A site with valid html and css is always different(that's the fist thing that usually gets hammered). Nice visual. Sometimes the visuals are getting in the way of delivering the content, though. The flower/flame(?) shape gets unwieldy on font zoom( I like the 5 nice tints of blue seen with images disabled better-- and the close up shot of the young lady scares me.).In general the home page is working better than the about page(compare with +2 font zoom in ff or text-size largest in ie). Would changing 81% for the font-size on the body to 100% freak out the internal people(I can never understand why public libraries and institutions of higher learning insist on making the printed word difficult tor read)? So, despite my goofy personal opinions, it is a nice, well executed site that just needs a little more rigorous testing and tweaking. Best, ~dL PS UWG Logo(with images disabled) might be better set: University of West Georgia. And if you want to get corny, set the content p 100% Georgia. __ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7b2 testing hub -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/

Madison Bryan wrote: Do people often scale text down like that? I often do, and not just for site check reasons. If the text is large enough that I'm comfortable reading more per line than is shown, I'll hit the trusty CTRL-minus, and if I'm having trouble reading small text, I'll hit CTRL-plus. It's easy and makes the site conform to my preferences. Generally, I would suggest that your site not be so pixel-perfect that one or two rescales destroys your look and feel.
