Donald P. Goodman submitted an update to the

dozenal

package.

Version number: 5.3
License type: lppl1.3

Summary description: Typeset documents using base twelve
 numbering (also called dozenal)

Announcement text:

Bugfix release; the tally marks still didn't work when
typeone option was in place (now they do), and the internal
commands \X and \E have been renamed \doz@X and \doz@E
 to prevent conflicts.

CTAN Update: dozenal

2015-01-28 Thread CTAN Announcements
Donald P. Goodman submitted an update to the

dozenal

package.

Version number: 5.2
License type: lppl1.3

Summary description: Typeset documents using base twelve
 numbering (also called dozenal)

Announcement text:
--

For version 5.2, removed some contradiction in the code about
 version numbers.

Completely redid the conversions to Type1 fonts, so now they
 work consistently.
Did away with the fdz prefix for these.

 Substantially reworked the documentation.

CTAN Update: dozenal

2015-01-21 Thread CTAN Announcements
Donald P. Goodman submitted the

  dozenal

package.

Version number: v5.0
License type: lppl1.3

Summary description: Typeset documents using base twelve numbering
 (also called dozenal)

Announcement text:
--

For version 5.0, the documentation and code structure was
substantially cleansed, and a git repository was created for
 the package.

I've also added the appropriate fontdimens to the font files,
so that microtype won't complain about them.

Finally, I've added \basex, a macro which will convert dozenal
numbers to base X, but doesn't work on counters, which is
 frustrating.

CTAN Update: dozenal

Donald P. Goodman submitted an update to the

  dozenal

package.

Summary description: Typeset documents using base twelve numbering (also called
dozenal)

Several fixes and improvements:
 (1) a package option for making dozenal characters available without
dozenalizing all the counters;
 (2) slightly improved documentation, including samples of the dozenal
characters;
 (3) new tally-mark characters, for whatever these are worth.

CTAN update: dozenal

2009-04-03 Thread CTAN announcements (Jim Hefferon, tug.ctan.org)
This package has been updated on tug.ctan.or and should within a day be at your

dozenal).

The package supports typesetting documents whose counters
are represented in base twelve, also called “dozenal”. It
includes a macro by David Kastrup for converting positive
whole numbers to dozenal from decimal (base ten)
representation. The package also also includes a few other
macros and redefines all the standard counters to produce
dozenal output. Bugs in the original redefinition of these
standards counters have been resolved.

Fonts, in Roman, italic, slanted, and boldface versions,
provide ten and eleven (the Pitman characters preferred by
the Dozenal Society of Great Britain). The fonts were
designed to blend well with the Computer Modern fonts.
