The reason there are disproportionate numbers of non-white people in jails and in prisons is because they are targeted, and in a large number of cases they are innocent. This argument that criminals do not deserve the basic rights as everyone else is disgusting. First many that are convicted are innocent just as many who are executed are in fact innocent.
