-Caveat Lector- "The LAST Free American Newspaper" & "In Memory of Those Who Died In The Name of Freedom" (July, 1997 Free American Magazine) "The LAST Free American Newspaper" In response to the numerous phone calls I received from the mainstream media, including Time Magazine and the San Diego Union, regarding the McVeigh verdict, I published the following statement: The pre-trial publication of the government’s scenario by the mainstream media concerning McVeigh, assured a guilty verdict. I applaud both the grand jury that indicted him and the trial jury that found him guilty. They did well with what information the government allowed them to see, especially in regards to the other suspects. The Free American, far from being anti-government, is very pro-government, so long as the government remains committed to the Constitution. The jury system is the one of the basic elements of our Constitutional Republic, which we support. We do not believe crime should be condoned or supported. While McVeigh’s guilt has been determined by a jury of his peers, I sincerely hope that the American people will not rest until ALL of those who worked with him or those that used him, are tracked down, apprehended and tried also. Any links to government, domestic or foreign, or claims of government foreknowledge, should be investigated thoroughly. I think McVeigh should be offered one chance for life. Reveal the names of any others involved, where the money came from and what part he played, in full view of the American people. . or die as he was tried, alone. I urge the people of Oklahoma, and all Americans, to support Oklahoma Representative Charles Key’s investigations into this matter. I chastise the press for reviving the militia specter when the trial uncovered no connection. The headlines in the Albuquerque Journal screamed, “ Militias May Mark Date (June 2) Violently” but the story concluded with FBI Deputy Director Weldon Kennedy stressing, . . . “They [militias] made it clear they didn’t support him. . . .We haven’t seen any group indicating any support for him while he was incarcerated leading up to this trial.” You [the press - by examining the conservative right], are looking in the wrong direction for people who want to overthrow the legitimate government of the United States of America. If you have a problem with the militia and the right to bear arms, repeal the Second Amendment. If you have a problem with the truth, repeal the First. If you want to know what the real problems are, read The Free American. Clayton R. Douglas After reading this statement on the Charles Collins Show on Amerinet, which I often serve as guest host (11 to 1 AM Eastern Daylight time), one caller found that to be too harsh. While I might be sympathetic to Tim McVeigh’s anger at the Fed’s involved in the Waco massacre, and though I urge my readers to resist the implementation of a Communistic New World Order, I do not believe that random acts of terrorism or the deaths of innocent people are in any way justified and I believe they should be punished. I do not believe that Tim McVeigh was completely innocent of any involvement. If there were doubles and if this was a politically motivated act involving intelligence types, he certainly played into their hands. I refuse to second guess or criticize the jury’s verdict and The Free American will continue to reveal as much information about other players in this drama as we possibly can. To do otherwise is to play into the hands of those that want to dismantle the Patriot movement and advance the concept of global governance. I am not a proponent of violent revolution and do not believe the time has come to take up arms against the government, but I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and will fight bitterly against any type of gun control or other communistic agendas including Central Banking and Graduated Income Tax, both of which I believe to be unconstitutional, and am totally opposed to any subjection of our Constitution by the U.N. Charter. To fully support our Constitution, as I and many other veterans, law enforcement officers and elected officials have taken an oath to do, we must speak out and take action against any attempts to subvert or overthrow our form of government. It demands constant vigilance. Such vigilance and such a stand cannot be deemed illegal, no matter what the ADL, their lapdog, Morris Dees, a liberal media and Clinton’s crooks would like for you to believe. Having said that, let me tell you that this is the last issue of The Free American Newspaper you will see. Too many of you have been getting this newspaper for free for much too long. Too many of you are reticent to tell your friends you read it or recommend that they subscribe to it. I know this to be true because our offer to send an ounce of silver to you for referrals failed miserably. If you are a subscriber, don’t worry. You will continue to get the same information and the same in-depth reporting every month in the new, Free American News Magazine. Your subscription cost will not go up unless you fail to renew it in a timely manner. If you haven’t subscribed yet, you may do so for $24.00 until August 1, 1997. And no more newsprint on your hands! This new format will cost us more to print, and we will have to cut back on the number of free copies we have been giving away at shows and events, but we will gain newsstand and bookstore distribution and reach a much broader audience who, research has shown, no longer trust the established media. Perhaps they will be much less fearful than our current audience. Our format will be much the same as Media Bypass, but without the internal intrigue. We will not have a set of stockholders, much less a second set. We will not have FBI informants on our payroll and we will not deviate from the quality of our reporting. We will have to raise the rates for new subscriptions to $30.00 and the cover price to $3.50. Distributors will get 50% off the cover price with no returns. We will cut down, initially, on our print run but expect to increase it substantially, within the first year, thanks to an agreement reached with a national distributor. Advertisers who agree to advertise for the remainder of the year of the new format will continue to pay the same rates for this year as they have in the past, no matter how much our circulation grows. Those who hesitate or hedge with 1 or 3 month contracts will pay more for their ads in 1998. It takes longer to print the new color covers, so advertisers must have payment and copy in house by the first of the month, one month prior to publication. (Example - To be in the September Issue, you must have your camera ready copy and payment in by August 1st. November by September 1, etc.) Depending on mail or shipping, you may not see your first ad before the second is due. This is standard procedure in the magazine business and unavoidable. We hope you will get on board the flagship of God, Family and Country, The Free American News Magazine, on this, our third year of unbroken publication. Subscribe to The Free American today! "In Memory of Those Who Died in The Name of Freedom" For the eighth year, Hong Kong held a demonstration in support of the people killed in Tiananmen Square. This year 50,000 people attended what may be the last demonstration in that city. All of the democratic reforms they have gained under British rule, will be a thing of the past in July. That is when British control of Hong Kong will transfer to the People’s Republic of China. Public protests will no longer be permitted and soldiers will patrol the streets, roughing up protesters, to prevent civil unrest. The orders have already been issued, “No more public demonstrations!” A US company will provide those enslaved Chinese citizens with national ID cards. The same company will supply the biometric ID cards for Australia, recently disarmed by American soldiers who are patrolling the streets, roughing up aborigines and searching for weapons. The company, Sandia Imaging, a majority-owned subsidiary of Lasertechnics, Inc. (NASDAQ: LASX) is now supplying the same cards as drivers licenses for the state of Alabama. By 1999, all Americans will have a drivers license that is, in reality, a biometric, national ID card. . .just like China! Our Military is spread thin, now in over 100 countries, many of them under foreign commanders. Defense Secretary Cohen says more cuts are necessary. Russian soldiers tour our few remaining bases to inspect for possible weapons violations. Senator Jeff Bingaman (D)NM told the American people (Alb. Journal, June 3) that the Russians need more than the 1.54 billion we have already committed. The aid is supposed to pay for security. . .inside Russia! While in Moscow, Bingaman held talks with Victor Mikhailov, head of the Russian Ministry of Atomic Energy, about steps that may be taken by both sides to monitor one another’s nuclear warhead dismantlement program. The Chemical Weapons treaty that WE signed, (but not Russia) will bring in even more uniformed “inspectors” from other countries. Meanwhile, intelligence reports say that both the Russians and Chinese are building more and more weapons, submarines and aircraft. The two countries have signed an agreement to build a “new world order” in which America would no longer be the world’s single super power. China was just accused of diverting equipment supplied by Boeing to military purposes. Automatic weapons shipped from China have been found on the streets of America. State-owned Chinese companies have bases on both sides of the Panama Canal, and both US coasts. Their latest missile cruiser just steamed into San Diego harbor while our John Paul Jones flew the Communist Flag in honor of the first visit by the Chinese navy. Their emissaries and arms smugglers have been wined and dined in the White House, and the coffers of the Democratic Party lined with Chinese wealth. We have a trade deficit with the Chinese of 50 billion dollars. Our national debt is over 6 trillion dollars. 70% of our labor currently goes to taxes, with no sign that we are any nearer paying off the debts we owe. Yet President Clinton, despite strong opposition in Congress and America, has awarded China Most Favored Nation status once more, saying, in effect, “We cannot afford not to!” The protests over NAFTA, GATT, The Brady Bill and the Anti-terrorist legislation have been to no avail. Investigations of corruption, murder and treason have been derailed by our own Justice Department, run by a devout lesbian, Janet Reno, who refuses to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Chinese money. Kenneth Starr has been so inept as to be laughable, even to announcing his retirement payoff a tad early. There seems to be no way to present our grievances or exercise oversight of our elected officials. While the media scoffs at the idea that the UN might intervene in this country, CNN art work (6-4-97) openly displays the UN flag above that of Iraq as the newscaster intones that, “. . .the UN will allow Iraq to sell its oil to buy food for the children.” The next story tells us that the peace process in the Middle East is dying and the arms race has begun. Israel and Turkey have formed an alliance as has Syria and Iran. The Middle East is choosing sides, “. . .much like Europe before World War II,” the talking head on CNN tells us. His boss, Ted Turner, calls the American people, “stupid.” while he buys up ranches in the wilderness of New Mexico. (There goes my neighborhood!) He may be right. Russia, China and the US are selling every country weapons. . . while the Clinton Administration does its damnedest to demoralize our troops, demonize militias and disarm, identify and track American citizens. While the defiant people of Hong Kong futility protest, their fate already decided, we sit complacent, as others decide our own. Area 21 is a done deal. Called the LaPaz agreement, ten million Americans will be under a dual bureaucracy made up of Mexican and American NGO and government organizations, in the name of the environment, or the Socialist code word, “Sustainable Development”. Our tax dollars will be given them to build sewer lines and treatment plants but the Americans in flood-devastated Fargo, North Dakota, can’t even get a loan from Congress. Police block the streets of tiny, tornado ravaged Jarrell, Texas roughing up homeowners trying to return to their property. . .while soldiers patrol the streets and go through the scattered belongings. . . searching for weapons?. The massacre of the men women and children of Waco was our Tiananmen Square. The Murrah building was our Reichstag. The Gun Bill of 1968, identical to Pre-WWII Germany. Clinton is our Hitler. Russian and China and their Muslim allies, the Allies of Today. We have allowed the Fourth Reich to be built on the remains of our Republic as the Third Reich was built on the ashes of the Weimar Republic. (Clinton has never referred to America as a Republic.) A bill giving the President a third term, has been introduced in the house by Barney Frank. The black clad soldiers called SWAT teams are now rappelling into the streets Houston, Pittsburgh and New Orleans on “practice assaults”. They will be coming to your town soon. Those who cannot see the writing on the wall do not deserve to inherit what our fore-fathers fought and died for. It is our children I feel sorry for.
