I'm quite sure that this could be successfully treated homoeopathically. You may want to consider seeing an experienced "classical" homeopath especially if you have any further symptoms... or if you know of anyone else "coming down" with this. Knowing just a slight bit of your past health challenges, then adding any repercussion of this on top... Even though you've gotten over the bad symptoms, my personal advice to you, as someone I care about- is "get thee to a homeopath" when and if possible. A note about personal experience with the anthrax vaccine...or something... My son went into the Air Force a couple of months ago, and of course he had to take that damn anthrax vaccine. I was worried sick about it, but of course they don't give them a choice about it -- if you want to be in, you gotta take the shot. And my son wanted to be in. He told me that within three hours of getting the shot, he started getting a fever. He quickly developed a BAD but nonproductive cough. This remained with him through the rest of basic training. The last three days he was allowed liberty, so I picked him up and we went off base on the day he had off-base liberty and the other two days we went different places on-base. The first day, on base, I noticed that his cough seemed to lessen after he had been away from his dormitory for a while, and wondered if the cough was from some mold or something growing in the ventilation system. In several of the buildings, I noticed a characteristic strange smell (sort of moldy), and the stronger the smell, the worse his cough became. The second day he had off-base liberty, and I noticed that his cough went away almost entirely, and I discussed the possibility that he was reacting to something in the air with him, and he agreed that might be it. The third day he had to stay on base, and again his cough was better and worse depending on the smell of wherever we were. We both also noticed that about half of the recruits were coughing the same way my son was, but few of the other base personnel were -- if it was a "bug" or something in the air ducts, why the disproportionality? By this time I started to feel feverish and to cough, too. I took Echinacea, and tried to get him to take some, but he was worried it might show up on a drug test. He went away to technical school after that, and a week later he called and said his cough was completely gone. I, however, was slowly getting sicker. I was starting to smell funny (like what I had smelled on base), I was coughing and had a low-grade fever. After about three weeks of dragging with this stuff (despite the Echinacea, which I cannot take constantly because it worsens my autoimmune problem), I developed a knot in my throat right next to my thyroid that appeared literally overnight and was about the size of a ping-pong ball. Three thoughts came to mind pretty quickly -- either I had the fastest goiter on earth, an incredibly fast growing cancer or I had a lymph node in overdrive. I ruled out the first quickly -- the lump was moveable, not attached to the thyroid. The second I was skeptical about -- I've never heard of any cancer that could develop that fast, and there was no sensation of pain or pressure associated with the lump, which was also very smooth and symmetrically shaped-- cancers are rarely smooth or symmetrical. At that point I was pretty sure it was a lymph node swelling, so I decided to wait a couple of weeks to see what it did. Two days after I got the swelling, I started getting a lot of crud in my throat. Things smelled and tasted "spoiled". I broke out in a rash on my arms and upper back, and my autoimmune disease kicked into high gear and the skin on both of my heels peeled off. I looked like death and didn't feel much better. I ate a bunch of hot peppers, something I've found is "kill or cure" for me; it either makes me get REALLY sick or it makes me get better. The first day of hot pepper therapy, I didn't notice anything other than my throat was a little clearer. The second day I felt worse but the swelling in my neck started to go down. The third day I felt about the same, but on the fourth my system started to clean out and I got rid of a bunch of toxins through every pore, etc. -- and the lump was half its original size. A week later, it was gone. I've never had anything that acted like this stuff did. The timing makes me think that this was from the anthrax shot and that this stuff has the potential to be a droplet infection with a long infectious period, and worse -- one that can get into buildings and lurk in air ducts. My son was sick for a month with it. I was sick for a month with it, and I was infected after he had been infected for three weeks and a week before he got over it. As I understand it, most diseases have an incubation period, and then are infectious only until the body begins to "win the war" against it. This thing comes on FAST and has a heck of a long infectious period. The fact that it got better and worse depending on his exposure seems to say that it was either reacting to something in the air, or that he was getting reinfected from the contaminated air systems. Honestly, I got the sense that I was being infected from the buildings at least as much as from him, and as anecdotal evidence, I think a friend of mine became infected from my house. He dropped by to pick up a program I had downloaded for him, and commented on a "musty" smell. This was a day or two after I had done the hot pepper detox, and at the time I thought he was smelling me because I had noticed that this stuff had given me an odour that would not wash off for more than a few minutes. (I hadn't coughed for several days, so I don't think he could have caught it from me directly.) Two days later he called me up, sick as a dog, and told me that he had come down sick on the way back from my place (he lives two hours away), and that his whole body had swelled up and turned red and that he smelled "like a wet dog (copulating with) a sneaker" (his words!!!, but that approximates the smell well enough) and hadn't been able to go to work the next day. BTW, I've been taking advantage of some nice weather to open and air out the house for the past week, washed the AC filter with Lysol and left it in the sun for a day, and have been burning incense and simmering herbs to try to detox the house. I am curious if anyone else has noticed this type of illness in those who have had the anthrax shots, and in their families, friends and others who have been exposed to them or to their living quarters.
