You can decide for yourselves if the picture was faked. Elian got a haircut
before the snatch. The kind that is very short around the temples and back
of the head, and with hair a little longer on top. Not unlike a military
haircut, but not as severe looking.
If you watch the officer carrying him to the van, you can see this pretty
clearly. In the picture under dispute, it is not as apparent. His hair seems
thicker on the sides. In later pictures, it looks short again.
This is my take on it. I can't be sure. Can others pay attention to this and
post what they see.
